Braves alum Tritt turns pro with ECHL’s Swamp Rabbits

On March 28, the Greenville Swamp Rabbits in the ECHL announced the signing of Spokane Braves alum Dawson Tritt (2017-18) to his first professional contract.

The next day, Tritt, 24, collected an assist – his first career point for the affiliate of the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings. The 6-2, 180-pound forward completed his NCAA college career with Lake Superior State University, scoring seven goals and 17 points in 33 games this season.

The Spokane, Washington native finished with 69 career points (33g-36ast) in 141 games with the Lakers over four years. Before going to college, he played one season with the Lone Star Brahmas in the NAHL, and parts of three seasons with the BCHL’s Alberni Valley Bulldogs. Tritt began his junior hockey career in the KIJHL with his hometown Braves putting up 43 points in 43 regular season games.
