Owen Ames of the Spokane Braves has committed to play for the Lebanon Valley College Dutchmen in National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III next fall.
“I’m excited to get things going at LVC,” said Ames, who thanked his family, coaches and teammates who helped him achieve this.
Ames finished third on the Braves with 24 points in 36 games.
“This past season, I improved in being confident handling the puck,” he said. “I became more comfortable playing the puck in different situations, whether under pressure or making plays.”
Ames added his time with the Braves played a big role in helping him earn this opportunity to commit to Lebanon, based in Annville, Pennsylvania.
“My coaches constantly pushed me to improve, giving me the guidance and feedback I needed to develop my game,” said Ames, who joined the Braves from the National Collegiate Development Conference. “My teammates also played a big part, challenging me every day in practice and creating a competitive environment.”
“Owen’s commitment to Lebanon Valley College is a testament to his dedication, skill, and relentless work ethic,” said Braves head coach Mike Bay. “He’s been a fierce competitor and a true leader, and there’s no doubt he’ll make a huge impact at the next level. Lebanon Valley College is getting a forward who plays with heart, grit, and the determination to win.”
