The Spokane Braves are back!

The team that “Puts the I in KI” is back for its 50th season in the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL). The Spokane Braves were not allowed to participate in the KIJHL last season due to the US/Canada border closure. With the expectation that the border will open up in time for the 21/22 season, we have been welcomed back into the KIJHL.

The 2021/2022 season will feature 42 games with zero crossover games with the Okanagan/Shuswap Conference. The season will begin on Friday, October 1, the season schedule will be released at a later date.

Our prospect camp will be held June 25-27th at Frontier Ice Arena in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho. This camp is open for the 2001-2007 birth years. You can sign up for our prospect camp at

We look forward to seeing our fans back at Eagles Ice Arena for our 50th season in the KIJHL.
